How do I admit my child?

Admissions and Oversubscription Criteria

If you would like to apply for a place for your child to attend Paulerspury CE Primary School, you will need to make an online application to Admissions, at West Northamptonshire Council. Should you need to speak with them, their contact number is: 0300 126 7000.  Applications for 2026 Reception places open on 10th September 2025.

Application deadlines are:

• Primary - midnight on 15th January 2026
• Secondary - midnight on 31st October 2025
• National Offer Day (Primary) - 16th April 2026
• National Offer Day (Secondary) - 2nd March 2026

Children are admitted into school in the September following their fourth birthday.  Paulerspury Primary School admits 20 pupils into Reception

Places will be allocated to pupils who have a statement of SEN that names the school as appropriate provision.

When there are more applications for places than there are places available, for September 2026 applications, priority will be given in the following order:

1. Children in public care or previously in public care
2. Children with specific medical and social needs, supported by written evidence from an appropriate professional person
3. Pupils who live in the linked area of Paulerspury, Pury End, Heathencote and Alderton.
4. iv. Pupils with an older brother or sister continuing at the school at the time of admission of the younger child.
5. Other pupils.

If the admission number is exceeded within criterion (iii) priority will be given to those who live furthest from the nearest alternative school. If the admission number is exceeded within any other criterion priority will be given to those who live closest to the school.
